Mercantile Bank, Grand Valley State University, and the Urban League of West Michigan, are excited to invite you to a special afternoon with Dr. Ibram X. Kendi, one of America’s foremost historians and leading antiracist voices. In his new book, How to Be an Antiracist, Kendi holds up both a magnifying glass and a mirror to examine how to uproot racism from society—starting with ourselves.

This collaborative was formed to convene diversity (diversity, equity, inclusion and engagement) officers from across the region to network, share leading practices and to use our collective voices to facilitate positive change for the underserved and underrepresented.

  • An introduction and overview of the new West Michigan Diversity Officer Collaborative and next steps to stay engaged.
